The Special Election is on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
 
 

REGISTER TO VOTE

You can register to vote at the Township Clerk's officeCounty Clerk's officeSecretary of State branch office or online.  If you were previously registered in Michigan and have moved, you may go to your new local clerk's office to register with your new address or register online at the Secretary of State's website
 
If you are registering after April 22, you must register to vote at the Township Clerk's office and provide proof of residency.

 
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
 
Your request for an absent voter ballot must be in writing and can be submitted to the Township Clerk. You may request an absent voter ballot by submitting an online application, a printed application, a letter, a postcard, or a pre-printed application form obtained from the Holland Charter Township Clerk's office. Requests may be returned by hand, via postal mail, or e-mail, as long as a signature is visible. 
 
The last day an absentee ballot may be mailed to you is Friday, May 3, 2024.  You may request an absentee ballot on Monday, May 6th until 4:00 p.m.  Voters registering to vote on election day may request an absentee ballot until 8 pm, however, they must vote the ballot in the office. 
 
All absentee ballots must be returned to the Township's Clerk's office by 8:00 p.m. on election day in order to count.

 
DROP BOXES

You may use one of our secure drop boxes to return your application or your absentee ballot. There is a drive-up drop box located just north of the office, as well as a walk-up dropbox at the Township office inside the west entrance.  Drop boxes are under 24-hour surveillance.

 
SATURDAY HOURS

The Holland Charter Township Clerk's Office will be open Saturday, May 4, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. to accept Absentee Voter Ballot Requests. If you request a ballot during that time, you may vote the ballot in the office or take it home with you.
