2016 Road Reconstruction Update

Below is an update on the two largest road projects in the Township:

US-31 Reconstruction - Work on southbound lanes should be completed by mid-August. Then the project will move into Stage 3, with northbound traffic being rerouted into southbound lanes from 16th Street to New Holland Street.  Target completion date is November 30.

Click here to view MDOT's detour maps for upcoming intersection closures at Quincy, Greenly, Riley, Felch, James, and 8th Streets as well as ramp closures at Lakewood Boulevard and Chicago Drive.

Find current project information and also sign up for email updates on the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council's website.

136th Avenue/Greenly Street Area - Greenly Street from 136th Avenue east to the railroad tracks will be reconstructed over the next month.  Following completion of sewer and water main construction, 136th Avenue will be reconstructed between Riley and Quincy Streets.  When completed, this new stretch of road will have three lanes (including a left turn lane) as well as curb and gutter.  Work is on schedule to be completed by October 30.
