Fall Leaf Disposal
2011 FALL LEAF DISPOSAL
Effective March 28, 1995, Michigan's Solid Waste Management Act (Act 641 of 1978, as amended) prohibited the open burning of leaves and grass clippings.
Holland Township is providing its citizens with an opportunity for leaf disposal. Those wishing to use this service may bring leaves to one of three locations: Holland Township's Dunton Park, located on Howard Avenue, the Ottawa County Fairgrounds located in Park Township or the Maatman Center, located on Harrington Avenue on Park Township's South side. Drop off may be made between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the dates at the locations listed below. If leaves are brought to the drop-off sites in plastic bags, citizens are requested to empty the leaves out of the bags into the disposal bins. Plastic bags cannot be composted. Branches, brush and grass clippings will not be accepted.
