NOTICE OF HEARING

HOLLAND CHARTER TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Please Take Notice that a public hearing will be held at the Holland Charter Township Office, 353 N. 120th Ave., (Mailing address: P.O. Box 8127, Holland, MI 49422) Ottawa County, Michigan, by the Holland Charter Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. or thereafter, to hear and consider the following matters:

5:30 p.m. – Consideration of a petition for multiple variances submitted by Lori Maatman for property located at 136 Clover, known more specifically as parcel number 70-16-28-252-053. Petitioner is requesting the following variances in order to establish a new lot for each of the two existing single-family dwellings: (1) A request for a nonuse variance of 1 foot from the southernmost dwelling’s south 7 foot side yard setback; resulting in a side yard setback of 6 feet. (2) A request for a nonuse variance of 12 feet from the northernmost dwelling’s 35 foot front yard setback; resulting in a front yard setback of 23 feet. (3) A request for a nonuse variance of 14 feet from the 64 foot lot width requirement of the R-2 zoning district; resulting in a lot width of 50 feet for the southernmost dwelling. (4) A request for a nonuse variance in the side yard setback of 7 feet from the northernmost dwelling’s south 7 foot side yard setback; resulting in a side yard setback of 0 feet for the existing 2-stall garage. The subject property is zoned R-2, Single-family and Two-family Residential.

5:40 p.m. – Consideration of a petition for a nonuse variance submitted by Dave Van Dyck on behalf of Advantage Landscape for property located at 11024 Chicago Drive, known more specifically as parcel number 70-16-23-100-031. Petitioner is requesting a nonuse variance for the use of crushed concrete in place of the concrete or asphalt pavement required within parking areas. The subject property is zoned C-2, General Commercial.

Any person interested in these matters may appear at such hearing in person or by agent or attorney. Copies of the application and other documentation are on file at the Township Office for public inspection from the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on regular business days. Written comments may be sent to the Zoning Board of Appeals in care of the Township Office. Telephone inquiries should be directed to the Zoning Administrator at (616) 395-0151.

The Charter Township of Holland will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services at this hearing, such as signers for hearing-impaired persons and audiotapes of printed material for visually impaired persons, upon receipt of five days prior notice.
